President’s Performance Contracting Challenge Saves Billions and Creates Jobs

The White House announced that the Federal government successfully achieved the FEMP-led President's Performance Contracting Challenge. This initiative challenged the Federal Government to install clean energy and efficiency measures in Federal buildings by leveraging $4 billion in performance contracts over the last five years. These contracts allow Federal Agencies to work with industry partners to procure energy savings and facility improvements at no net cost to taxpayers. Not only was this goal met, it was exceeded.
